Message from the President
Dear Friends, Business Associates and Sponsors:
On behalf of the Men of Essex, Inc., I want to thank you for taking the time to view our website. The Men of Essex is one of New Jersey's oldest African-American charitable organizations dedicated to bettering the lives of residents in the Greater Essex County community. This year we are honored to have as a 60th Annual Awards Dinner with Darryl White, as our Key Note Speaker who was our 1969 Essex Award Winner and two time all American.
We also would like to thank those who attended and participated in our annual 57th Golf Classic (“The Classic”) that has proudly grown to become one of the most successful and most-anticipated fundraising events of the summer season. Save the Date: we will be celebrating our 58th Annual Golf Classic on August 13, 2018 at Cedar Hill Golf and Country Club, 100 Walnut Street, Livingston, NJ 07039. This will include a special feature presentation to honor Rhonda Hamilton, WBGO Midday Host. As always it will be our pleasure to meet, challenge and enjoy times with our members, friends and supporters.
Again the proceeds of our fundraisers throughout the year, assisted us in fulfilling our mission of recognizing student-athletes for their achievements and supporting their higher education aspirations via our Student Aid Fund.
The Men of Essex is a 501[C] [3] non-profit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
